In the year 2047, a small group of astronauts spearheaded by Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne), are sent to investigate and salvage the spacecraft “Event Horizon”, a ship that disappeared without trace mysteriously seven years prior. The “Lewis and Clark” rescue ship begins the mission to discover the truth behind the disappearance, only to discover something far more terrifying in the process. Alien 1 (1979) – Review

Sometime in the distant future, a seven-person crew upon a commercial spaceship named “Nostromo”, stumble upon a distress call from a planet not too far away. Under obligation to investigate, the group descend onto the small planet, but quickly discover that the original message was a warning, not a distress call, before coming to the realisation that life is in fact prevalent there. The Trip (2021) – Review

Lars (Aksel Hennie) and Lisa (Noomi Repace) are a dysfunctional married couple heading to a remote cabin in an attempt to reconnect as a pair and rekindle their love. However, each actually have the intention to kill the other, but before either can carry out their plan of execution, an unexpected turn of events occur, and visitors arrive to present an even greater danger. This new addition to the Netflix streaming service suits the time of the year well and certainly wasn’t the worst release of 2021.

Aftermath (2021) – Review

Natalie Dadich (Ashley Greene) and Kevin Dadich (Shawn Ashmore) are a young couple, going through some pretty severe turmoil in their relationship, but the pair decide that it would be a good idea to purchase a new home, in an attempt of solving their problems. With a questionable past, the home does represent financial sense, but the pair end up with more than what they had originally bargained for. Aftermath is the latest, low budget flick to hit our Netflix screens, which may lack a little bit of creativity, but certainly comes across as watchable on the whole.
